A friend and wonderful color therapist, Elizabeth Harper, posted that the colors for the day are cinnamon and indigo. Wonderful choices I think to myself as I look out at the aged terracotta roofs of the homes across the street with the sky reflected in their shaded windows.
It brings me home. Back to playing in the ground, the dirt, the mud. Anywhere I could feel the Earth between my hands. And an always present water source. Although I must say, playing in a creek was infinitely better than my child-made version, where I would create an artificial stream with the garden hose. But both were indigo blue, deep and reflective.
I love these images of home and childhood, the Earth, the Water, the connection to life.
As the holidays draw near, and you find yourself with family and friends, think warm and introspective. Perhaps you’ll even find a cinnamon stick swirling in a Hot Toddy. Cheers!
Yummy!!! Earth and water, of course an astrologer would zoom in on their elemental qualities. Thank you for the reminders – home, childhood and terracotta roofs make me think of Italy.
